Poll: What Was Your Favourite Xbox Game Pass Title For April 2025?

Expedition 33. I'm near the end and man, this is one of the only games I have ever played that I genuinely don't want to end.

Clair Obscure: Expedition 33. I think Im nearing the end of Act II. I have almost completely stayed away from anything online and played this game blind. It is truly amazing. My main 3 are all level 50.

1. Expedition 33
2. South of Midnight.
3. Oblivion Remaster (SoM isn't a "better game" just actually new)

Don't get me wrong, my Oblivion playtime dwarfs both.

Not Clair Obscur. 🤣

I'll wait for maps, won't play it, or just wait a looooooong time. Maybe grab it in a sale. I'm glad I didn't buy it though. Really thankful to Game Pass.

I'll go with South of Midnight followed by Oblivion.
And even if Expedition wasn't my thing, still an incredible month.

I've been finding really conflicting info on that, with people saying as you, and some other people saying "it just gets worse" and dropping it even when they were more into the game.

A really cool game, no doubt about that, it's just that it does one of the things I hate the most in games and that ruined my fun.

@Lup That's fair. Not every game is for everybody. I think Blue Prince is absolutely boring and I find nothing of interest in GTA. Just a couple of examples of how opinions may vary. I do hope you give it a go though. Such a shame to miss out on this one. It is truly amazing.

Yeah, same with those two there.
I'm waiting to see if they add maps or not.
If they do, I would jump back again into it immediately. If not, I might give it another chance in the future.

What a month! I went for Blue Prince as I played it the most so it must have been the best - right?

@Lup Also, not sure if you knew this or not...the correct path is generally lit up in some way as a visual cue.

For now, I would say Oblivion Remastered and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, but there are a few things I loved about South of Midnight. Blue Prince is quite random and frustrating even after a long while, the gameplay is not rewarding enough, but I have noticed that some enjoy the lottery ticket feeling it gives.

E33 for me as well. Great game. Oblivion I will return to without a doubt.

South of Midnight is on my list, and I've never actually played Far Cry 4 despite loving the 3rd game at the time so that is also on the list. And I'd love another play through of GTA5 as haven't played that since the 360.

As always, too many games, not enough time.

@Lup Far as Clair Obscure, Heard, turn based combat, immediately lost all interest.

It also hits on HUGE personal pet peeve of mine. Stupid names, stupid titles. Any time see any those it automatically sends me into a Seinfeld rage.

Clair Obscur Expedition 33. Whose Clair? Why she obscur? How did she get so obscur? Why she on an expedition? Why not just call it Expedition 33? Why add a name on inanimate object? We don't say Jenny Concealed Appalachian Trial? Do we?No. We don't. We don't say that.

Definitely Oblivion. Clair literally put me to sleep.

Finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 today.

Top-10 game of all time. Perfect combination of melodrama, aestethics, epic score, gameplay loop and writing.

Haven't had tears in my eyes and laughing at the same time for a video game in twenty or so years probably. There are SO MANY subtle, beautiful, funny, heartfelt moments in the game.

"Papan, Ma t'en" just made me absolute ugly cry laugh and might be my favourite moment of all time in video games.

And final battle was just breezing through this fantastic aestethic of what was essentially gods as men.

Damn what a game. Just everything. Might be greatest JRPG ever. Even if I REALLY REALLY wanted to visit and play some of those easter egg jokes in real. (Looking at you double dyad).

GAH. I don't know what I want to play anymore. Like I literally just closed my console after I finished and I don't know what or when I will play next time cause I feel like this was it for now.

I can't praise this enough. Even if it sounds silly and dramatic and over the top. It is. As the game was.

Played blue prince but not my cup of tea, I like puzzle games but found it was too random for my taste.

I really wish the mini games in Clair Obscur weren't utter butthole.
Bc otherwise it's literally flawless.

BOY did I want to give it a ten but forced parkour (optional but what RPG nut isn't gonna be pissed for skipping obvious loot) mini games were unfun and janky af. Really was a bad look every few hours for a half hour or so each. The climbing puzzle is one of the shittiest times I've had in gaming.
That's a vast difference to the otherwise utter perfection it offers in every other way for me.

Baffling that they put that dog crap in the game. Really could have let it be fun the whole time but no dev can make a single game without shoving some unfun poop into it.

Every 10 I'd have has some stupid stupid STUPID "creative" decision that always keeps it from perfect. I cannot fathom what possesses devs to do this. 1886, marvel Mary Jane, that Forrest in elden ring dlc, the forced stealth section of metaphor, etc. etc.

NO GAMER ALIVE WANTS THIS EVER AND THEY KEEP DOING IT PLEASE STOP YOU MORONS KTHX
