That show almost put me in a coma except for DD2 and Alan Wake 2. the rest of it ... meh, who cares. I still have no reason to buy a PS5. not losing sleep, very happy with gaming only on xbox and pc!

MS saved some money here, that show advertised alot of good third party games for xbox!

Great game, and lots of fun doing random runs in coop. This games already a cult hit to me.

Wo Long and Atomic Heart... both these games knocked Hogwarts off my playlist... really good original games in there own right and amazing xbox was able to get them on GP!

If PS were 'winning' it all then they would have had a showcase LAST YEAR in June. They didn't because guess what, they just have remakes and GaaS for you! Have fun!

But I'm a HUGE sony fan been playing PS and Nintendo my whole life. So don't take it like I'm against Sony being terrible, they just need to do better.

I went to a friends house, he is sad about buying a PSVR2. We both thought it was complete dogshit, he likely will sell it to a stupid pony since some hardcore ponies will buy any of sonys *****. lol! And then we watched the Sony Showcase and laughed our asses off. I'm a huge PS fan but I think sony is going down the drain. I miss the days when sony can have games like Shadows of the Colossus or an rpg like Dark Cloud. But instead we get ***** remakes and ***** boring open worlds like snoreshima, days bored, god of bored and horizon boring dawn. I think maybe ill watch episode 3 again of Last of Us.

Its my current goty so far, enjoying it more than Hogwarts. I can see the puzzle element could surprise (annoy) alot of people. Its like they snuck in Portal/Zelda puzzle dungeons into a Bioshock/Far Cry/Metro Exodus game.

Also its a much bigger game than i thought.

@PsBoxSwitchOwner lol the future is with xbox, team ninja knows it too. Yes PS5 is the focus now, but gamepass will prove that a bad release will ruin there reputation if its not fixed quickly.

This games going to rock. The sad reality is they are all still focused on PS5. The Xbox fanbase is growing, they would be wise to not piss off fans. As long as they can get it to the standards of the first demo i am fine. though I am still pissed they never brought nioh or nioh 2 to xbox!

@Dannyxtra yup, sounds like they are struggling with money. I'm fairly certain it will come to xbox, but likely pushed back from the PC/PS5 release with Series S issues .

I'm kind of surprised MS didnt make any offers to support this game, they got High On Life on the release from Stadia... BG3 must have been there for the taking. something else must have blocked it from being a priority. maybe budget.. who knows. MS seems to work slowly, like a lumbering bureaucratic behemoth.

Consoles are here to stay, but I think within a decade or two they're going to make a standard gaming device that is affordable (no exclusivity!) that multiple companies can manufacture towards. a pc/console hybrid, but w/ more standardized hardware, focused primarily on performance to cost to sell in the 100s of millions.

@Romans12 Its because Pure Xbox is part of the Reedpop/Hookshot websites... they likely have writers that share writers and fans. I wouldnt be surprised if some of the Pure Xbox writers could be Sony fans! or even vice versa on Push Square!

Capcom is smart to not play the exclusive card, they know they have a good game and will sacrifice upfront money to maximize sales on as many platforms as possible. It also builds good will to fans.

I loved the SS showing, its more Crackdown/Agents of Mayhem then Avengers. I dont think its going to sell bonkers, but Ill play it once its on discount (like a month or two after release).

The overall show is disappointing for sony. MS is taking away all the best content without people realizing it. It'll be more evident when ABK passes! When Sony is digging for a PC focused RPG like BG3 (which im excited for!) you know they're stretching. Hard times in the future for Sony! CoD coming home to gamepass!

I love your optimism for Playstation! Counting that PSVR2 is selling like hotcakes and they have countless 1st party games coming besides ones owned by Disney/Marvel, Sony is hitting it out of the park! I may not comment much, but I find it funny, not just you, but a ton of passive aggressive Xbox haters cant deal with a MS that wants to get better at gaming. You mask your lies with fake concern when its super obvious you just hate hate hate xbox.

If you have gamepass its a definite must play. I'm about 8 hours in and made it to the open world parts... its a lot like Metro Exodus at that point, where the starting area is alot like Bioshock/Prey.

The game is a very high quality production. It graphically EXCEEDS many of the games in its genre (Arkane, Deus Ex, Bioshock).

8.5/10 so far. The console controls needs a bit stronger aim-assist (still very playable), but on PC its perfect!

Well too bad, CoD is coming to xbox, PS is going to lose market share. Thats quite obvious. PS has already lost market share because nobody buys AAA games anymore, except for a select few.

please stop referencing Digital Foundry as the be all end all for benchmarking... they are heavily biased as Sony supporters... even when the details show that it runs better on xbox... its easy to see when they frame the narrative as always positive spin for sony, and negative for xbox.. its really bad.

Its been an 'A' for amount of console gaming I've done, and I am primarily a PC gamer! Leaving it at B for the future of first party games. The value that they have given on gamepass ultimate (w/pc) has saved me more than the extra cost of a new PS5 and a few exclusives! I feel no need to buy a PS5 anymore!

The series s is fine, its meant to be an affordable entry level into the next gen console market. and its loss in visual quality is not a big deal when numbers show that millions of people still play consoles on a 1080p tv and/or the same games like CoD, 2k and Fifa which most people don't even realize the difference.

If money were no object then we'd have 1k consoles already.

@theGoodChap yeah I agree there should still be a strong 3rd party presence in the market, and there will be! I'm an old dude who has seen some great publishers i loved die and get bought out and dissapear... some like Microprose and Origin were standards of the PC gaming industry, but it just couldnt keep up. Theres very viable AA publishers/studios right now that are doing well, but it does hang alot on just a few companies funding them... ie Sony/MS.

Ultimately I dont think MS wants Sony to leave the space, they are too good at what they do to not be of value (I still think Sony has a ton of expertise in managing multi studio development)... but MS is now willing to foot the bill for alot of devs to keep the subscription model working.. Gamepass as good as it is... its still not a done deal... that it can reach netflix heights is still a bit of a risk to sell it to the whole world. which is why i think this deal is far from anti-trust territory.

All this free press for Square lol! I used to have a PS for the exclusives, but its just not worth it to me anymore. all the PS exclusives, including FF, don't cater to what i like most, western RPG's, sim/strategy/builders and shooters! Xbox and PC is all I need these days.

I don't agree on that, MS is essentially keeping a ton of ABK/Bethesda alive for content alone. otherwise a lot of those content creators would be out the door looking for work. MS isn't doing anything special, they're just adapting.

If there's any 'blame' to go around its the gamers! If people didn't spend so much on mtx and gambling... i doubt we would be here discussing the ABK deal or Square Enix getting more and more irrelevant.

Also, @NEStalgia I do think the market for FF games has shrunk (guesstimate) despite the success of FFXIV... I do think alot of Squares issues are just bad timing, cause when i think of the games they released alot of them seemed aligned with current trends or trying to predict where the market would go, but always seemed dated. And Squares issues can be said even with Ubisoft which I think has had extremely high quality for over a decade. though the issue being more super expensive games dont sell enough anymore, which can also be said for Sony exclusives now too!

who cares, Squares a dead duck. I love me some FF but the market for those games keeps shrinking and locking it to PS5 isn't doing FF or Square any favors long term.

they released upwards of over 20+ games this year and they barely made a blip on most peoples radar. And with Square begging for money a few months ago (GP money!), too bad MS isn't going to overpay. Square just sold there most talented studios for peanuts because they're broke!

@trev666 Yup, I'd say most of the playerbase starts off solo then veers to group play. The PvP from the beginning of the game is pretty much dead (was fun while it lasted!). What you said about the map is true! F76 has an awesome open world sandbox map. so much detail and landmarks!
